Texas Energy CEO takes broadband wireless to remote oilfields

Bryan Olivier, the new CEO of Houston-based Texas Energy Network LLC, is trying to connect corporate offices with remote oilfield areas like never before.The company, which was founded in 2010, is growing with the domestic shale boom with the focus on bringing 4G LTE broadband wireless services to the oilfield in isolated regions of Texas’ Eagle Ford shale and the Permian Basin.“It the oilfield is effectively becoming an extension of the corporate office,” Olivier said about bringing real-time data straight from the drill rig to offices in Houston and elsewhere. “There’s the demand more and more for higher-speed data services at these remote sites.”
